Rasch Wins Shanghai Finale and Takes the Points Jersey
Jesper Rasch won the final stage of the Tour of Shanghai (UCI 2.2), sprinting to victory over 92.6 km from Fengxian to Nanhui at an average speed of 49.5 km/h — and claiming the points classification with it.
The win lifted Rasch to 4th overall (+0:19) on the final general classification, with Oskar Nisu 12th (+0:26) as CHINA ANTA - MENTECH placed two riders in the top 12 of a 21-team international field. Lucas De Rossi finished 55th and Lauri Tamm 45th as the team closed a three-stage, 282.7 km race across Greater Shanghai.
The race was won overall by Manuele Tarozzi (Bardiani CSF 7 Saber), with Rasch’s final-day sprint the fastest stage of the race.
The engineering read. A stage decided in a 49.5 km/h gallop is where wheel stiffness shows up as speed. Rasch’s sprint — and Nisu’s move to 12th on GC on the same day — is the SCOM wheel programme doing what it was built to do: convert race data into results.
About this partnership. SCOM and VOSO share one engineering house — VOSO, training to race; SCOM, the extreme. Two decades of carbon wheel manufacturing heritage, one factory, two calibrations: VOSO builds the full ladder from entry-level training to race-ready wheels, while SCOM pushes that same DNA to the extreme, proven on the podiums of eight UCI Continental teams.
