Konychev Takes Stage 1 at Tour of Rhodes
Alexander Konychev powered to victory on Stage 1 of the Tour of Rhodes (UCI 2.2), delivering CHINA ANTA - MENTECH Cycling Team's first win of the 2026 season on SCOM wheels.
Konychev's win opened the team's European campaign, which had already produced a series of strong rides at the GP Pedalia, Visit South Aegean GP and Region on Dodecanese GP in the final week of February. The result confirmed the early-season form of the sprint core built around Konychev, Norman Vahtra and Oskar Nisu.
The engineering read. The Rhodes win was the first validation of the 2026 SCOM development data in race conditions — hub stiffness and spoke tension tuned for short, punchy Mediterranean stages.
